The pros of the mid-range phones are out! This month, we’ve seen the best of the best in the tech world and just a few days before March comes to a close, OPPO Philippines joined in the tech brawl by welcoming a new member to its F Series family – the OPPO F11 and OPPO F11 Pro.
After weeks of sharing hints at how the new phone can take “brilliant portraits under low light, the new phones were officially launched at the World Trade Center in Pasay City last Wednesday (March 27, 2019). OPPO is taking an upgrade from its previous “Selfie Expert” image to one that can take brilliant portraits – thanks to its 48MP image sensor. New features include an Ultra Night Mode setting, improved battery life, smoother gaming performance, and better user experience. To sum up everything we loved about the OPPO F11 Pro, here’s a quick run-through:
1.48MP + 5 MP Dual Rear Cameras for Brilliant Portaits
The F11 series is equipped with a 48 MP image sensor and F1.79 large aperture together with a 6P lens, which can sense more light when shooting in low light conditions. When capturing a night portrait, the included Tetracell technology analyzes and combines data from four adjacent pixels to achieve the equivalent of a single 1.6μm pixel. Twice the number of photosensitive pixels improves light sensitivity and allows users to capture clearer night portraits.
It does not only capture excellent portraits with its rear camera, but also continues the “Selfie Expert” tradition of the F-series. It has a 16MP pop-up front camera that shows up only when needed.
2. Ultra Night Mode for Night-time Photography
The F11 series employs Ultra Night Mode and Dazzle Color Mode technologies. These technologies leverage AI and multi-frame noise reduction to achieve less noise, handheld stabilization, highlight suppression, and get an enhanced dynamic range. These enables users to capture levels of brightness and detail that normally exceed the limits of the human eye. When capturing a night portrait, the F11 series automatically distinguishes between a human face and the background, ensuring the human is the focus of the scene.
3. A Sleek Design
Introducing the first ever triple-color gradient design, the Thunder Black variant of the phone blends red and blue into classic black, akin to a meteor streaking across the night sky. There’s also a double-color gradient design in Aurora Green, which draws inspiration from vibrant blue oceans interwoven with lush green continents.
At the front, users can now enjoy a 6.5-inch Panoramic full HD+ screen, featuring an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.9%. The front camera only pops out when you need to unlock your phone (via face unlock) or take a selfie.
4. VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 + Hyper Boost Technology
500 mAh higher than the previous F series smartphone, the F11 series has a 4,000 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 flash charging technology. This shortens the charging time by 20 minutes, enabling the battery to be fully charged within only 80 minutes!
OPPO also introduced its own performance acceleration engine called Hyper Boost – optimized for 11 popular mobile games, including PUBG and AOV. By optimizing the system resource mobilization plan, hardware resources can be utilized more effectively, resulting in faster game response, no disconnections, and no dropped frames.
5. Affordable Price
The OPPO F11 Pro is available for only P18,990 – not bad, considering its camera upgrades and ColorOS 6 system. Pre-orders starts on March 28 (includes a free rock space MUSE Bluetooth speaker which is worth P2,499). It can be claimed at any OPPO store or any authorized dealer nationwide starting April 6. If claimed within the day, you’ll also get a free screen warranty.
It’s accessible through Home Credit, where customers can pre-order the F11 Pro at 0% interest, with 9 months and 12 months to pay. Customers can also avail the product at 0% interest and 12 months to pay with BDO and Metrobank credit cards as well.
The OPPO F11 Pro will also be available under Globe via Plan 1499 with no cash out, and Smart exclusive Plan 1099.
