UNDIESasters: Here’s how to avoid 5 undie horrors that women go through every day

There are times when I wish that I could’ve known certain things in life sooner. This includes underwear tips that people never really talk about that much – especially if older people consider it “disrespectful” to ask someone about their undergarments. I grew up and studied in a place where common courtesy is highly valued, but I thought – there’s nothing wrong about these things especially if it can help women in the long run! So here I am, writing about 5 common UNDIESasters that I had to face myself before finding out ways that can make my life simpler. Hope it can help you, too!

Left: Wearing ordinary bra | Right: Seamless undies

Remember: What you wear under your clothes can make or break your day. Skip those straps that dig in, bras that are hard to adjust, and lines that show when they shouldn’t by following the simple solutions below:

UNDIESaster #1: “It doesn’t fit me!”

The Solution: Always check the size before purchasing anything. Your medium-sized undies might be a small size for a different brand. Contrary to popular belief, bust size tend to change from time to time. It’s best to re-measure it every 3-6 months to find products that perfectly fit.

UNDIESaster #2: “I have undie marks on my back/thighs”

Left: Super tight plastic back straps. | Right: Pull-on nylon spandex bra without clasps.

The Solution: Go for soft fabrics. Never choose design over comfort! This has happened to me many times, especially when wearing see-through straps for my bra or tight undies just because I thought they were cute. Opt for soft and breathable fabrics that has a flexible fit – one that moulds with your every movement even if you do stretches.

UNDIESaster #3: “My straps are showing”

The Solution: If you want to wear a comfy bra on top of a spaghetti strap top or tube top, I suggest that you bring along a lightweight jacket as a quick fix. This way, you can be stylish in layers without sacrificing comfort. You can also wear a bra that matches the color of your top to somehow create a silhouette that it’s just a strap design.

UNDIESaster #4: “The wires hurt!!”

The Solution: Go for a wireless bra that still has moulded cups that offer support in place of the wire OR you can opt for underwires that are built in ultra soft foam cups. There are brands out there that offer both!

UNDIESaster #5: “Super bakat!”

Wearing Avon Fashions Body Illusion Seamless Undies

The Solution: Go SEAMLESS! You won’t regret it. 50% of my inner wear are now seamless because of the comfort that it brings both physically and mentally. I no longer need to check from time to time if there are creases in my undies that show underneath tight outfits, plus it’s super comfortable!

All 5 UNDIESasters above can be addressed by the new Body Illusion underwear that I’ve tried from Avon Fashions. They’re made with Avon’s Invisilite material, which offers both comfort and flexibility even while you’re doing tedious tasks. I tried these before doing a quick workout and they’re not visible even as I stretched my legs! Although there are certain restrictions when washing garments like this, the unique material promises to be fade-resistant. There are two types to choose from:

  • SONIA Non-Wire Seamless Pull-on Bra (P899) and Panty (P299):  A pull-on bra made with soft fabric and moulded cups. No need to worry about hooks being seen through your shirt because it has a seamless back and sides. Straps can still be adjusted for you to get a perfect fit. It didn’t hurt even though I’ve worn it for over 12 hours!
  • CHARLENE Underwire Seamless Bra (P899) and Panty (P299): A ¾ cup bra in eyeglass silhouette with ultra soft foam cups. Laser-cut edges leave no marks, and won’t show through tight clothing. The bras are available in a wide range of sizes, from modest 32A to bigger sizes such as 36C, 38B, and 40B.
