Forget about HD, this new Sharp AQUOS 8K LED TV is Ultra HD!

With the evolving needs of consumers, big corporations continue to address these concerns through innovative new products that make life simpler and hassle-free. From home necessities like fans and washing machines to forms of entertainment like karaoke machines and smart televisions, companies like Sharp Philippines Corporation has been offering a wide range of products to address their customers’ ever-changing demands throughout the years.

Having innovation as their lifeblood and a longstanding commitment to bring excellence to reality, Sharp recently unveiled their latest AQUOS 8K LED TV that boasts of ultra-high-definition (UHD) images with 16 times the resolution of full HD. Sharp is now promoting ‘Changing the World with 8K and AIoT’ as we display products equipped with this outstanding technology that we will introduce in the Philippine market this year (2018),” explained Yoshihiro Hashimoto, Managing Executive Officer of Sharp Corporation during the launch at Shangri-la The Fort last Thursday (May 17, 2018).

Here’s what makes each product special:

AQUOS 8K LED TV

8K is a revolutionary technology for UHD images with 16 times the resolution of full-HD (1920×1080 pixels). It reproduces images at ultimate reality, with ultra-fine details that even the naked eye cannot capture. Imagine intricate details to form animal fur or pollens from a flower. Those can easily be spotted when viewed at an 8K screen, of course, provided that the video file is also HD enough!

Sharp released its ‘World First’ 8K display last October in China, Japan, Taiwan, and European markets. The Philippines will be following suit this year.

Today, I am excited to announce the launch of Sharp’s AQUOS 8K LED TV tuned for Asia in the end of year 2018 here in the Philippines to lead the 8K Display Industry” emphasized Toshio Kawata, Deputy General Manager TV System Business Unit of Sharp Corporation. “Apart from displaying TV broadcasts and other media contents, 8K will dramatically impact many aspects of our lives: medical, business, security (CCTVs), education, transportation, and many more.”

AQUOS LED 4K Series

When it comes to binge-watching needs, AQUOS LED 4K is your best match. The AndroidTV UA6800X Series already has a built-in Chromecast to help you stream your Netflix and YouTube videos without breaking a sweat. This 4K UHDR (3840×2160) is perfect for gaming with its Real Colour, X4 Master Enging Pro II, QUd Core, Eilex Prism, HDMI, and USB features. On the other hand, the EasySmart UA6500X Series uses Screen Mirroring for YouTube and web browsing.

Both are already on display in markets, so we suggest that you check it out!

IoT Inverted Air Conditioner

At first glance, you’ll probably think of the Super Premium IoT Inverted Air Conditioner as a big printer that has been hung upside down. It’s smaller than regular split type air conditioners but it’s packed with Plasmacluster Ion Technology that kills airborne bacteria, viruses, mold, and other contaminants that can be found inside houses while keeping itself clean on the inside. The J-Tech Inverter technology enables precisely controlled power consumption leading to energy saving and energy-efficient operation. IoT also combines airflow technology, energy saving, and smart control through iOS and Android devices under Wi-Fi connection.

Users can also kiss their hot weather worries away because IoT has a 14-degree Celsius temperature setting – the lowest temperature in the industry today.

Love Philippines Campaign

Over and above the company’s striking technologies, Sharp is set to launch a campaign during Philippine Independence Day this June 12, which aims to highlight Philippine-made goods. These will feature locally-made products including LED TV, washing machines, videoke machines, and electric fans.

The company believes that supporting local will improve the Philippine economy, open more job opportunities, and inspire them to double their production.

“This activity will contribute to the local firm that will benefit the Filipino family and result to a stronger economy,” commented Kazuo Kito, Sharp President and General Manager.
