Miss playing CABAL? Its newest version promises no pay-to-win

If you spent part of your teenage years playing MMORPGs like CABAL, you probably remember the routine: log in, grind for EXP, hunt for better gear, and tell yourself you’ll log off after one more run. Then suddenly, it’s way past your bedtime. For longtime CABAL players, CABAL: Revolution might be worth checking out. The game is sticking to a pretty straightforward promise: “NO ITEM MALL. NO PAY TO WIN.”

Following its Revolution Night event, the game doubled down on its “NO P2W, NO PAID WEB EVENT. PLAY OVER PAY” message. The idea is that players should earn their progress by playing, not by spending their way to better gear. According to representatives, every item on its server can be obtained through gameplay. It also promises a player-driven economy, where players drive 100% of the in-game economy without outside interference.

For anyone who remembers working toward a better weapon or spending hours building up a character, that approach may sound familiar. Getting stronger was part of the fun, especially when you knew how much time and effort went into it.

Curious to see how the new version plays? The CABAL: Revolution Closed Beta Test (CBT) runs from November 5 to 17, 2026, across Southeast Asia, and joining the test is free. The game will also feature Seasonal Servers across the region, along with a rebalance of all nine classes and improvements to its upgrade systems. One thing to keep in mind: the CBT is free, but regular play requires paid access. So, if you’re thinking about returning to CABAL, the beta gives you a chance to try this version before deciding whether to continue.
