Life often comes with unpredictable moments, from sudden downpours during rainy season to facepalm scenarios like accidentally tossing in your smartphone in the laundry. May you always be out and about or are just extra clumsy, an affordable smartphone that can thrive in every scenario is here to make our lives worry-free. Meet the realme C75 – a “waterproof, worry-proof” smartphone that has just been launched in the Philippines starting at only Php 8,999.
I’ve had this smartphone for a few weeks now and so far, after throwing it in the pool, freezing and thawing before steaming it like a fish, it’s still alive and working! But aside from the durability details, here’s everything you need to know before making a purchase.
Inside the Box

Same as its predecessors, the realme C75 comes in a yellow realme box which has its main features printed at the back. Inside, you’ll find the unit with a pre-installed screen protector, a SIM ejector tool, a clear case, quick start guide and other papers you’ll need, a USB Type-C cable, and a 45W fast charger. As always, I’m thankful that the charger is compatible with typical two-prong outlets available in the Philippines so plugging it in won’t be an issue, no matter where I go.
Design, Display, and Durability
I would normally just focus on design and display but what sets the realme apart from other models is really its durability. Featuring three industry-standard Ingress Protection (IP) ratings – IP69, IP68, and IP66, it meets global standards for a device’s resistance to dust, water, and other environmental elements. To be more specific, it can survive even after going through a car wash with strong water jets, being submerged in water up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes, and even freezing or boiling temperature for up to 80 degrees Celsius.

Its ArmorShell™ Protection and Military-Grade Drop Resistance give it a robust yet premium feel while being able to withstand drops of up to two meters. The realme C75’s ArmorShell™ Glass is infused with advanced materials for exceptional impact resistance and scratch protection. With an internal airbag design and an integrated metal inner frame, the phone’s shock absorption and durability are both notable. It can withstand drops from surfaces like marble and concrete, earning it a TÜV Rheinland Rugged Smartphone Certification and military-grade shock resistance under the MIL-STD 810H Standard.
I got the Lightning Gold variant which looks more pastel than actual gold, but there’s still a certain appeal in its muted design. For those who prefer a more lowkey design, go for the Storm Black variant. The realme C75 is also lightweight (196 grams) and slim (165.69mm × 76.22mm × 7.99mm), ensuring comfort even if you hold your phone almost the entire day—I know most of us do!
Buttons are in the usual places – volume rocker and power button/unlock sensor are on the right side, SIM tray is on the left; microphone, Type-C port, and speakers are at the bottom, while the top part is clean. If you’re an Android user, getting used to its placements would be a breeze.

In front, the 6.7-inch 90Hz FHD+ display offers vibrant visuals, great for casual gaming, streaming, and browsing. Features like EyeComfort Mode reduce blue light for enhanced eye protection, while the Always-On Display (AOD) keeps key information visible even when the screen is off. The bezels are thicker on the top and bottom part, but it’s not much of an issue.

Cameras
Equipped with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera, the realme C75 also does well in capturing life’s moments with clarity, provided that you’re in a well-lit area. While I won’t consider it best in class, it’s not bad either because it does the job clearly as long as the subjects aren’t moving. Pose all you want!

There are times when the photos come out grainy under low light, but the Flicker Sensor helps enhance image quality in challenging lighting. Features like AI Clear Face and Smart Image Matting also help further refine photos. For a budget smartphone, I’m actually quite impressed especially with the front camera.
Here are some samples to help do the explaining:

Performance
Under the hood, the MediaTek Helio G92 Max Processor powers the realme C75, delivering stable 60fps gaming and smooth multitasking. With 8GB of RAM expandable up to 24GB via Dynamic RAM Expansion, and up to 256GB of storage expandable to 2TB, this phone offers ample room for apps, media, and files. I just want to reiterate as well that this isn’t a gaming smartphone but it’s something you can use for a lot of hypercasual games like Tile Match, Wordscapes, and even Clash of Clans.
Its realme UI 5.0 features enhancements like AI Smart Loop and Rainwater Smart Touch, ensuring seamless usability even in damp conditions. Other features available in realme smartphones are also present, such as Mini Capsule, Air Gestures, and Riding Mode.
The realme C75 also takes audio to the next level with its 400% UltraBoom Speaker. Featuring a large ultra-linear speaker and an advanced super volume algorithm, it delivers clear, booming sound with enhanced vocal frequencies and optimized dynamic range. I’m not really picky with sounds as long as it doesn’t feel canned (a.k.a. tunog-lata in Tagalog) when gaming, streaming, or listening to music. No disturbing vibrations too even if the volume’s up high so that’s a plus point.
Battery
The realme C75’s 6000mAh battery boasts up to 24 days of standby time, said to be able to maintain 80% health after four years of use. Paired with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, it ensures minimal downtime, too. The phone also supports 6.5W reverse charging, allowing it to double as a power bank in a pinch.
Price and Availability

The realme C75 is now available nationwide at realme physical stores/kiosks and online via Shopee/TikTok at only Php 8,999 (8GB+128GB) and Php 10,999 (8GB+256GB).
Overall, I can say that it’s a standout in the entry-level smartphone category. I’ve seen similar durable and waterproof smartphones in the market but they’re currently almost double the price. Its all-around waterproofing, military-grade protection, SonicWave Water Ejection feature, and powerful 400% UltraBoom Speaker make it ready for any adventure.
