You’ve probably seen a lot of Funko Pop and Banpresto figure unboxing videos on my YouTube channel for the past few months and it’s not a secret that I’ve been using a repurposed shoe rack as a shelf as well! Before 2020 ended, I was lucky enough to get my hands on an actual shelf that is easy to transport, easy to assemble, and #shelfie-ready for my growing collection. Although I’ve created a video for this, I’ve been receiving a couple of questions ranging from dimensions to price so here’s a rundown of everything you need to know about the Yori Takara Shelf – Medium and Mega sizes.
Both the Medium and Mega sizes of Yori Takara are made out of wooden MFC panels and steel frames. It’s the same as the materials that they use for other DIY furniture like the Yori Gyomu Ladder Desk (Mini) that I’m also using. Assembling it is super easy since the instructions are simple and the necessary tools are already included in every box.
Aside from the tools, each box also comes with five FREE Boss Protectors — see-through, scratch-resistant, and UV light-resistant box protectors for vinyl toys or Funko Pop collectibles, and a cute Yori sticker set. On top of that, there is also a “golden ticket” randomly placed in a Takara Shelf Medium and Takara Shelf Mega flatpack which entitles the receiver to a limited-edition collectible!

To show you how easy it is to assemble, here’s a step-by-step video that I shared a few weeks ago:
You can also get a closer look at what I was able to put in each layer of both the Medium and Mega sizes in this 2020 collection roundup video:
Both shelf variants are available in SM Stores nationwide but I highly suggest that you purchase online for now to ensure everyone’s safety. Just visit shopsm.com and type-in “Yori” in the search box.
My room has a lot of brown and yellow accents so these shelves are a perfect fit! If you’re determined enough, it can be assembled in less than an hour, too. Hope this helps!
