Let’s start the week with positive vibes! In our posts last month, we mentioned upcoming releases from Huawei – including the P40 Series. Luckily, even though community quarantine is still ongoing, we were able to get our hands on the newly released Huawei P40 for a quick review. While we’re still testing out the phone, here’s a little peek inside the box first:
We’ll be discussing the specifications on a separate post but if you wish to see it vis-a-vis the P40 Pro and P40 Pro+, you can visit our previous feature here.
WHAT’S INSIDE THE BOX
Inside the box, you’ll find the unit, charger, cable, earphones, SIM ejector, and a guide. While I highly appreciate the earphones, what the box is lacking is a plug adapter since not a lot of homes and establishments in the Philippines have electrical outlets that can fit a European plug (the circular one). Also found myself looking for a clear case because the P40’s awesome color does not deserve to be hidden behind a different type of case.
PRICE AND PRE-ORDER DETAILS
All three variants of the Huawei P40 – Silver Frost, Deep Sea Blue, and Blush Gold – costs Php 36,999 each. These will only be available for pre-order until April 24 via Lazada, Shopee, and MemoXpress. Pre-ordering automatically gives you a chance to receive freebies worth as much as Php 12,285 — including the HUAWEI Freebuds at Php 8,990, Band 4 at Php 1,890, 50GB cloud storage for 1 year at Php 588, GCash voucher at Php 70, Php 50 worth of Paymaya credits, Php 100 discount in GMovies and a Booky Prime membership for for 3 months at Php 597. Final payment for purchases via Lazada must be settled from April 22 to 24.
Cashback rewards are also offered during the pre-order period. The 100th, 500th, and 1000th customer in Lazada and Shopee will receive 100% voucher back valid from May 1 to 31, 2020.
Finally, all these three partner stores will offer flash pre-order activity for the first customers who will order during these exact hours: 00:00, 10:00, 14:00, 18:00, and 22:00 from March 27 to April 3. Lucky customers will enjoy a new Gentle Monster worth Php 20,990.
Remember that these options are opened for purchase convenience – especially during this pandemic. Don’t risk your lives just to go out for a gadget. No phone is worth more than your health and safety!

First off I would like to say great blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if
you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear
your head prior to writing. I’ve had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out.
I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips?
Thanks!
