Jollibee Breakfast Sandwiches don’t look as good IRL, but does it taste good?

Let’s face it: Not everything looks as good as they are in advertisements and posters. Food may look a bit messy, burgers can get squished when sent via delivery, and so on. This was my first thought when I received the new Jollibee Breakfast Sandwich that I ordered. Despite the appearance, it has redeeming factors, though.

It was a busy Saturday for everyone in our family and these new Breakfast Joys looked like a perfect on-the-go meal for someone who just needs a quick bite. They’re also affordable – Egg & Cheese Sandwich only costs P39 and the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Sandwich costs P50.

I’m not a fan of an egg-and-cheese combo on anything but the taste of the Egg & Cheese Sandwich’s sunny-side up egg and cheese in a buttered bun made me kinda like it. It also has a drizzle of maple syrup for a kick of sweetness. Doesn’t have a wow factor, but it’s something you’d consider to get when on a tight budget.

As for the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Sandwich? It’s on a whole new level! I love sunny-side up eggs and bacon in the morning. Putting it in a ready-to-go bun just made things easier. Top it off with cheese and a drizzle of maple syrup, you’ll forget about how it doesn’t look like an Instagrammable food and just focus on how good it is. The egg yolk bursts midway and coats the bread and the crispy, smoky-savory slices of bacon for a flavor-packed bite.

Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Sandwich in real life. Not that photogenic, but definitely yummy!

I personally prefer this over the pancake buns at Jollibee. This one doesn’t taste too sweet despite the drizzle of maple syrup and you’ll be able to finish eating it quickly. Will definitely purchase the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Sandwich again!

Both Breakfast Sandwiches are available every morning from 6am-10am for dine-in, take-out and drive-thru in all Jollibee stores nationwide.

Perfect for working Filipinos who need a quick yet deliciously filling breakfast to start their busy days, the new Jollibee Breakfast Sandwiches offer all the goodness of time-tested breakfast food favorites in a meal you can enjoy on-the-go,” said MariAldecoa, Jollibee Marketing Director for Core Products. “The Breakfast Sandwiches are not only satisfying for the palate, but also for the budget as prices start at only P39.00*!
