The millennial guide to Oishi Snacktacular 2016: Activities, point system & loot

Oishi has just unleashed another “Snacktacular” event that undoubtedly levels up the fun in eating (and catching) snacks! This year, Cuckoo – their mascot – is invading the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia together with crazy booths that shower visitors with their favorite Oishi packs. Here’s what makes it more fun: Entrance is FREE.

Even though you need to pay in order to play, booth activities are open for as low as P20. With that amount, you can already get a taste of their latest Smart C+ flavors and even make your own munchies. The priciest would be P295 – but the number of packs you can get is kuh-razy.

Something to eat while waiting in line – check. Off to the next stop!

For only P20, we were asked to choose from different Oishi chips and flavors (maximum of 2) in order to create a unique snack. Since we’re craving for White Cheddar, we combined it with Ridges! Yum, yum yum.

Points: 20 per snack bag

Booth 2: Snack Catcher

Welcome to the snack pool.

At P200, we are free to hold on to as much snacks as we can while we’re tied to a harness. Time to morph into a human crane and dive into a pool of Oishi munchies. This can last you for months (if you’re good enough)!

Points: 1 for each snack you’ll get

Tip: Imitate how toy cranes work so you’ll get more.

Booth 3: O-Twirl

Have you tried Oishi’s Choco Chug? They have it here in ice cream form. Pay P20 and you’ll have a cup of sweetness and two of any available snack toppings. You can never go wrong with any choice. Promise!

Points: 20 per cup

Booth 4: Snack Shack

See those packs you can grab?

Think you’re fast enough? Let’s see how many snacks you can put in your bag in just one minute. But first, you’ll have to pay P295 to get a 2-feet Oishi giant pack that you’ll have to fill with snacks of different sizes. The rule of the game: Abide by the time limit and seal your bag.

Points: Your bag’s weight x 100

Booth 5: Cuckoo Blaster

It's a funny costume but who cares. We're having fun here.

Be Cuckoo for a day and shake your tail feathers. For only P100, you can get as much as 40 items depending on how many ping pong balls you can catch using your Cuckoo suit.

Points: Number of balls you’ll get x 10

Booth 6: Oishi Slush

Fall in line with the other kids-at-heart… and their families. Pay P20 for a cup of Smart C+ slushies. Believe me, it’s so refreshing. You can choose between Pomelo Grapefruit and Calamansi Splash. We tried both but I prefer the former.

Points: 20 per cup

Step 4: Pose for a photo at the Pack & Pose booth
