Vintage finds, good food, Maya perks that make Midcentury Manila x Maya Black worth a weekend trip to Nuvali

Some weekends call for a change of scenery, preferably somewhere you can shop, eat, discover interesting finds, and maybe come home with something you didn’t plan on buying. That’s pretty much what happened when we dropped by Midcentury Manila x Maya Black’s Black Party at Somewhere in Nuvali. The collaboration kicked off with its Halloween Black Party on October 31, featuring DJ sets, Tarsius, and a performance by Up Dharma Down. While the opening celebration is only until 10PM, the shopping and exhibit experience continues every weekend until December 20, 2026 (excluding holidays) so you won’t get FOMO.

If you’re into pieces you won’t usually find in your typical stores, this is a weekend destination worth checking out. There’s furniture with plenty of character, vintage watches, curated thrift finds, sneakers, fashion labels, vinyl records, and food stops to explore. And if you have a Maya Black card, there are also shopping and payment perks that can make your visit more rewarding.

What to look for at Somewhere in Nuvali

1.Furniture pieces that double as conversation starters

You know those furniture pieces that immediately get noticed when someone walks into your home? That’s the kind of thing to look out for at Midcentury Manila. There are distinctive lamps, chairs, and furniture pieces that can give a room more personality. They’re statement pieces that can easily become conversation starters when you have guests over!

2.Vintage watches and curated thrift finds

For collectors and anyone who enjoys finding something with a bit of history, there are vintage watches and curated thrift pieces to browse. Part of the fun is not knowing exactly what you’ll find, especially when the selection includes items that aren’t readily available in regular retail stores.

3.Sneakers and fashion finds

Sneaker fans and fashion enthusiasts have their own reasons to visit, too. Look out for unique clothing from Leon Denim, Rafikimono, and Fortune. There’s also Denimbros, which offers novelty belts for anyone who likes accessories with a little more personality, and Flower Mountains with their art piece-like footwear.

4. Vinyl records and collectibles

Music lovers can also browse through hundreds of vinyl records. There’s still something special about finding a physical album instead of simply adding it to a streaming playlist. If collecting physical music is your thing, make sure to include this in your browsing list.

5. Cookies, pastries, snacks, and coffee

Of course, all that browsing calls for a food break. Among the food selections are cookies and pastries from Claui’s Bakeshop, offerings from Sarsa Field Kitchen, and other baked treats from participating vendors. There’s also Type A, which served complimentary coffee during the Black Party.

My favorite would be the pastry vendor (forgot to ask the name!) with the best salted bread, one even in pumpkin shapes, so there’s more to discover beyond the food selection.

How to make the most of your visit with Maya Black

The Midcentury Manila x Maya Black collaboration isn’t just about the shopping selection, though. Maya Black cardholders can enjoy several benefits when visiting and making purchases at the venue.

For starters, Maya Black cardholders get complimentary access to the Somewhere in Nuvali exhibits. Simply present your physical card at the entrance. If your card hasn’t arrived yet, you can show your Maya Black virtual card instead. You can also sign up for Maya Black at the entrance using the code MIDCENTURYMANILA.

Planning to take home a furniture piece, vintage watch, or a few fashion finds? Make sure to pay with your Maya Black card. Midcentury Manila is a Maya Black Preferred merchant, which means you can earn 10x Maya Miles on every purchase!

There’s also a payment option worth considering if you’re eyeing a bigger purchase. Eligible transactions with a minimum single-receipt spend of Php 3,000 can be paid through a 3-month Mini Payments plan at 0% interest. It’s a nice extra to have, especially when you find something you really like but would rather spread out the payment.

The October 31 Black Party may have been the opening celebration, but there’s still time to explore the exhibits and shopping selection. You can find Midcentury Manila x Maya Black at Somewhere in Nuvali, Nuvali Technohub 1, Ecozone Avenue, Nuvali, Laguna, every weekend until December 20, 2026.
