FIRST LOOK: realme C100 in Victory Purple

Here’s a quick first look before the realme C100 officially arrives in the Philippines. We were lucky enough to get our hands on a sample and it’s in the Victory Purple color! Beyond the eye-catching color and design, it seems that there’s plenty to unpack in terms of design and everyday usability:

Design

Victory Purple gives the C100 a premium, almost futuristic vibe. The Blooming Design shifts subtly under the light, creating a textured 3D effect at certain angles. The shimmer coating and metal deco around the camera module add polish, while the Pule Light adds a bit more oomph to the vibe. Weighing only 219 grams, it’s easy to grip and hold onto for an entire day.

Out of all the features, though, it seems that durability became a clear priority here. The realme C100 comes with ArmorShell™ Glass, MIL‑STD‑810H military‑grade shock resistance, and IP69 Pro dust and water resistance. That means it can handle drops of up to two meters and even survive submersion up to six meters for 30 minutes. For everyday use, the Rain Touch Mode ensures the screen stays responsive even with wet hands. It’s a small but practical detail for the country’s tropical weather.

Like other realme smartphones, the buttons are where you’d expect them to be. On the right side, you’ll find the power button with integrated fingerprint sensor, while the volume rocker sits just above it. The bottom houses the USB‑C charging port and speaker grille. The SIM tray, which supports dual SIMs or one SIM plus microSD, is positioned on the left. Everything feels well‑placed and easy to reach, even for one‑handed use.

Battery

Still covering durability in terms of battery life, realme C100’s strength also lies on its 8000mAh Titan Battery. It’s rated to last up one and a half days on a single charge, making it ideal for heavy users. With 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, you can get 50% in under an hour, while 10W reverse charging lets the phone double as a power bank for other devices. On top of that, realme guarantees 7‑Year Battery Health, meaning the battery retains at least 80% capacity even after years of use.

Overall, the realme C100 currently feels like a phone designed for people who need a smartphone to get in touch with people and to get things done. The colorway is striking, the build is reassuringly tough, and the battery life is a clear standout, but the cameras don’t hold as much promise for those who need a phone for high-res content. It’s a device that’s practical for everyday use, though! My initial recommendation would be for students and workers who are always on the go (think riders, ride hailing app drivers, in-kitchen delivery service staff, etc.).

Watch out for the official launch this June on realme Philippines’ Facebook page.
