LIST: Why collectors should visit Tamashii Nations’ first-ever PH pop-up spot

For many Pinoy millennials, Voltes V wasn’t just a regular anime, it was a childhood phenomenon! I even remember humming ten-tentenententen-tenten while marching down the street with my childhood friends. From the catchy opening theme song recorded on cassette tapes to the Tagalized episodes that aired on local TV, this legendary super robot shaped an entire generation of anime fans. Now, in 2025, expect nostalgia to be stronger than ever as Tamashii Nations brings its first-ever Pop-up Spot to the Philippines, offering fans the ultimate opportunity to celebrate their love for Voltes V, mecha, anime, and premium collectibles.

From March 6-16, 2025, Tokyo-based Tamashii Nations will be at Robinsons Magnolia to turn the mall’s atrium into a haven for toy collectors and anime enthusiasts. If you grew up watching Voltes V, collecting Chogokin (die-cast) figures, or idolizing heroes from Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto (to name a few), this is an event you wouldn’t want to miss. Here’s why:

1. Voltes V Exclusive Collectible and Photo Op

Number one on our list: You can see and take a photo with the Voltes V Legacy Statue, sculpted based on the design of THE ROBOT SPIRITS VOLTES V. This tribute celebrates the lasting impact of Voltes V in Filipino pop culture! There’s also a Soul of Chogokin display, showcasing the evolution of this beloved mecha over the years. You can say that we grew and evolved with Voltes V – literally. Event-exclusive collectible SOUL OF CHOGOKIN GX-31SP VOLTES V CHOGOKIN 50th Ver., will also be available for purchase for collectors.

2. Celebrating 50 Years of Chogokin Collectibles

If you’re a die-hard mecha collector, then you’ll love the Chogokin 50th Anniversary Showcase. This special exhibition highlights some of the most iconic die-cast figures ever released, including legendary series like Mazinger Z and Gaogaigar. The evolution of Chogokin craftsmanship is on full display, giving fans a look at the artistry behind the timeless collectibles.

3. Meet Your Favorite Jump Heroes at the Jump Character Series Zone

Beyond mecha, the Jump Character Series Zone is also a must-see for fans of Weekly Shonen Jump. This section features life-sized statues and displays of fan-favorite anime like Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto. A standout attraction is the human-sized Naruto Uzumaki statue, sculpted based on the S.H.Figuarts series. A good photo op for fans who’ve followed Naruto’s journey from his early days in the Hidden Leaf Village to becoming the Seventh Hokage.

4. Event-Exclusive Collectibles

One of the biggest draws of any Tamashii Nations event is the exclusive merchandise, and the Manila Pop-up Spot is no exception. Attendees will have the chance to grab highly sought-after figures, including:

  • METAL BUILD EVANGELION 01 TEST TYPE CHOGOKIN 50th Exclusive
  • METAL ROBOT SPIRITS  WING GUNDAM ZERO CHOGOKIN 50th Exclusive
  • SUPER SAIYAN GOD SUPER SAIYAN VEGITO
  • S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Masked Rider Kabuto Rider Form: Released as a 10-year anniversary item, with a special display stand and redefined suit colors.

Aside from these exclusives, fans can also purchase rare items originally available only at Tamashii Nations Store and Tamashii Spot locations worldwide. I’ve seen a lot in Tokyo but not so much in the Philippines, so we’ve been #blessedt! Collectors who make qualifying purchases will also receive limited-edition premiums, too.

5. More Than Just an Exhibit

Beyond the collectibles, Tamashii Nations PH is packed with interactive experiences, special activities, and limited-time offers. Whether you’re a dedicated toy collector, an anime enthusiast, or someone who appreciates the craftsmanship behind these figures, this event is definitely for you.

Mark your calendars, gather your fellow collectors, and head to Robinsons Magnolia’s Atrium (upper ground floor) from March 6 to 16, 2025. This is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness legendary mecha, anime icons, and exclusive merchandise—all in one epic event! Event is open to ages 15 and above only.
