HONOR announces 2025 launch of ‘toughest phone’ in the PH

Only a few days left in 2024 but HONOR is not yet done with their monthly surprises. The smartphone brand recently teased that they’ll be launching “the toughest phone” yet by January 2025.

“It’s starting to become a tradition. It has always been like that. New year, new HONOR phone and expect nothing less, it’s gonna break, not the phone, but what we have done in the past. So, watch out,” said HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng.

HONOR is no stranger to tough competition, but 2024 saw them redefine durability. From smashing their smartphones onto hollow blocks and tiles to 100-foot concrete drops and pool drops, they’ve built a reputation for their jaw-dropping gimmicks to test how durable the newest models are. Now, the big question is: How do they plan to outdo themselves this time?

After all, durability isn’t just about enduring multiple stress tests—it’s also about offering peace of mind to users. Whether you’re scaling mountains, running marathons, managing the hustle of daily life, or maybe just dealing with clumsy hands, a phone built to withstand the unexpected can be a game-changer.

While the details of the new smartphone are still under wraps, HONOR’s teasers on Facebook already had us buzzing with excitement. Will it have a revolutionary new material? Will the drop tests reach even greater heights? One thing’s for sure—this launch is not one to miss.
