Soirée by Retail Lab returns for a one-of-a-kind Christmas weekend shopping experience

Did you know that there are only 32 days left before Christmas? This year went by so fast, we’re all about to find ourselves caught up in the whirlwind of Christmas preparations once more! While the joy of gifting warms our hearts, the thought of navigating crowded malls and endless shops can be a bit overwhelming especially for working millennials like me who don’t have much time on their hands. Enter Soirée by Retail Lab – our annual escape into a one-stop shopping affair that promises to make our Christmas shopping both delightful and stress-free.

This year’s edition of Soirée, happening on November 24-26 and December 8-10 at The Fifth at Rockwell from 11 AM to 9 PM, is poised to be just as spectacular as their previous run. It effortlessly marries the festive magic of the holidays with a curated selection of over 170 merchants offering an array of unique products, spanning fashion, home, food, and lifestyle. It’s a one-stop-shop for all our gifting needs — may it be for our loved ones or ourselves!

Soirée boasts an impressive lineup of brands that holiday shoppers can eagerly anticipate. From Dreambee Books‘ personalized children’s books to The Kind Cookie‘s delicious treats that give back to various causes, there’s something for everyone on your gift list. Explore the cruelty-free and vegan-friendly nail polish from Paint Polish, craft your own fragrance with Amara Parfum, or discover the beauty of Filipino-inspired tableware from Casa Juan.

For those with a penchant for vintage finds, Nirvana Collective offers unique pieces from their second-hand consignment store, re-imagining the ukay-ukay culture in the Philippines. Notable brands like Pause Lifestyle, offering multifunctional scarves and accessories, and Raja Watch Co, crafting watches from the finest materials, also add an extra layer of excitement to the Soirée shopping experience.

These are just some of the many brands waiting for us. I actually took home a lot of awesome finds last year and I can’t wait to discover new ones this weekend! What I also like about visiting the Soirée is how they put the spotlight on local brands that emerged during the challenging times of the pandemic. These brands, born out of resilience and creativity, share inspiring stories that remind us of the human spirit’s ability to thrive even in adversity.

The minds behind Soirée, Rosanna Aranaz and Claud Baron-Paulino, are no strangers to discovering extraordinary brands. As the founders of Retail Lab, a multi-brand lifestyle store with locations at the Powerplant Mall, Estancia, and Circuit Makati, they have created spaces for local and homegrown brands to showcase their products to the retail market.

“There were so many brands that have been founded in the past three years that we have grown to love and we’re so happy to bring them to you this November for Soirée,” shared Rosanna.

“We were so inspired by all the brands that started during the lockdown. Many of the owners had lost their jobs during the pandemic so they created new ways of earning money by doing what they love like baking and making perfume,” added Claud.

Soirée by Retail Lab is not just a shopping event; it’s a celebration of local and homegrown Filipino businesses. Hope to see you there! Watch out for a peek at the booths over at our Facebook page – facebook.com/ManilaMillennial.

How to get to the Soirée: Access the venue through the elevator in front of Starbucks Reserve at Powerplant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City. You can also take the escalator up to the fifth floor.
