IN PHOTOS: L’Oreal Professionnel Manila Hair Show 2023 unveils newest hair trends

I’ve been to a couple of Hair Shows in the past but I’ve never seen such a huge crowd as this year’s L’Oréal Professionnel Manila Hair Show 2023 held at the Okada Manila Main Ballroom last Tuesday (July 25, 2023). Hundreds of Filipino hair professionals gathered to celebrate the latest hair innovations, techniques, and trends that are set to dominate salons this year. Think of a fashion show but focused on hair styles and colors – that’s what this is all about!

The show featured two distinguished experts in the hair industry – L’Oréal Professionnel India Artistic Ambassador Raman Bhardwaj and L’Oréal Professionnel Global Ambassador Min Kim. These visionary artists, renowned regionally and globally, not only showed off their latest creative expressions but also shared invaluable techniques and tips to elevate every woman and every salon experience.

“The brand is full steam ahead in its mission to elevate the salon industry and it acknowledges the need to revolutionize itself to be ready to lead the future. L’Oreal Pro is the brand that is truly professional, at the forefront of hair technology, and wants to elevate and empower every woman and every stylist,” shares L’Oréal Philippines Professional Products Division General Manager Brian Duruin during his opening speech.

The highlight of the show was undoubtedly the runway presentation by Raman and Min, where models flaunted their transformed hair with different colors, styles, and techniques. The edgy and sleek outfits complemented the artistic prowess of the stylists, leaving the audience – myself included — in awe. Raman and Min also gave an insightful demonstration, showcasing how they skillfully applied hair techniques on the runway models.

They also introduced the new iNOA — L’Oréal Professionnel’s premier luxury ammonia-free color offering. Raman emphasized not only the vibrancy and full-coverage qualities of iNOA but also the luxurious salon experience it provides from hair diagnosis to the final look and after-color care.

Min Kim, on the other hand, passionately shared how hair color and style can instill confidence in Filipinos. She stressed the importance of hair professionals in helping individuals create a unique extension of themselves through their hair using various techniques and methods.

The event also featured an iNOA corner, where guests could learn more about L’Oréal Professionnel’s ammonia-free permanent hair color designed for every hair type and need. The corner showcased the brand’s extensive portfolio, including the Blond Studio 8, a high-performing lightening powder, Metal Detox, a Glicoamine-powered product that prevents hair breakage and color shift, and Dia Light, a pioneering acidic gloss color that neutralizes undertones after lightening and refreshes hair lengths after color, and an all-new SteamPod – a hair straightener that uses steam instead of the usual hot ironing plates.

Aside from showcasing the latest hair innovations and color trends, L’Oréal Professionnel Manila Hair Show 2023 also stands testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to empowering both hair professionals and clients alike. As L’Oréal Pro continues its journey towards the future of haircare, one thing is certain – beauty that moves the world starts with empowered and confident individuals who express their uniqueness through their hair and personal style.
