OPPO recently introduced the stylish new OPPO Reno8 T, dubbed as the “Portrait Expert”, with a 100MP Portrait Camera and Fiberglass-Leather Design in an eye-catching Sunset Orange color. However, will it features be as good as it looks and feels like on the outside? Here’s a closer look at the smartphone and its features before the pre-order period ends on February 17.
Let’s begin with the premium look: An all-new upgraded Fiberglass-Leather Design in a vibrant orange hue. Although it’s also available in Midnight Black, the Sunset Orange variant is what caught my attention. It has a thinner and lighter cover vs traditional leather-like battery covers, comparable to luxury leather goods, and has an Ultra-Slim Body Design at only 7.85mm. As someone who almost always holds her phone, I also appreciate that it’s only 183g.
This smartphone is the first model in the Reno series to include a 100MP Portrait Camera paired with a 2MP Microlens that is capable of 20x or 40x magnification – enough to give you a clear view of things as small as a thread on your shirt. This is complemented by a 32MP Selfie Camera in front for better selfies, too. We’ve seen it in action during the official launch last Wednesday (February 8) and it does produce crisp and clear images. Other camera features include as AI Portrait Super Resolution, Bokeh Flare Portrait, Selfie HDR, AI Portrait Retouching, and Flash Snapshot.
Aside from the aesthetics and cameras, the OPPO Reno8 T boasts of its all-round smooth experience, 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM that is expandable up to 8GB with OPPO’s RAM Expansion technology, 5000mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charging technology capable of fully charging the smartphone in only 67 minutes, new ColorOS 13, and 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate.
Another feature that would probably be handy for millennials is its Auto Pixelate feature which automatically pixelates sensitive information on screenshots and Private Safe which reduces the risk of losing or disclosing password-protected data. Safety first, of course!
