This streaming platform houses a Filipino-dubbed ‘Spy x Family’ and anime simulcasts from Japan!

Ever wondered how “waku waku” will be translated in a Filipino-dubbed version of Spy x Family? The answer is waiting at POPTV Philippines – a video-on-demand streaming service that recently introduced an anime channel containing over a hundred anime titles, including simulcasts from Japan!

The in-app channel called Bento was launched late last year with Filipino-dubbed versions of fan-favorite titles like Spy x Family, Jujutsu Kaisen, Sing Yesterday for Me, Horimiya, and even My Hero Academia. However, for those who prefer watching content in their original language, the platform still offers the original materials for everyone to enjoy. Pinoy anime Barangay 143 is also available for you to check out!

POPTV Bento has 16 categories – Adventure, Filipino-dubbed, Comedy, Musika, Drama, Hay Buhay, Medyo Naughty, Kilig Yarn, Bida ka Kid, Out of this World, Astig, Girl Power, Wow Magic, High School Life, Crime & Mystery, and Rebirth. There’s also a separate row for live simulcasts of anime like Bofuri Season 2, Reborn to Master the Blade, Beast Tamer, Mob Psycho 100, and Campfire Cooking, to name a few, so you can watch your favorite shows as soon as they drop.

Aside from the anime titles, POPTV also houses Asian content, classic Pinoy shows – from Home Along Da Riles to Crazy Beautiful You, Indie movies, kids’ shows, and more!

HOW TO ACCESS POPTV

To start binge-watching, you can create an account by visiting their website at poptv.ph or download the app via Google Play, Apple App Store, Huawei App Gallery, or Samsung Galaxy Store. After signing up and verifying your account, you’ll automatically receive a free 3-day trial which gives you access to everything except the Bento Premium titles.

POPTV offers subscription packages as low as Php 20 for 2 days, Php 49 for 10 days, Php 99 for 30 days, and Php 300 for 6 months of binge-watching. On top of the affordable rates, what sets POPTV apart from other streaming services is their accessible payment channels: Load deduction through SMART or Google Pay, credit/debit card, GCash, Shopee, Lazada, pawnshops like M L’huillier and RD Pawnshop, as well as select sari-sari stores in key cities within Luzon.

Although POPTV Bento is still missing some of my favorites like Chainsaw Man and Tokyo Revengers, I’m still hitting that subscribe button. Looking forward to see what will be released next on their platform!
