Here’s where you can buy dainty mix-and-match necklace charms at an affordable price

I’ve always been drawn to anything with a moon design! According to astrology and some cultures, the moon represents the “divine feminine” while the sun represents the “divine masculine”. There are also myths that say that the sun and moon are constantly chasing each other! We rarely see accessories that combine both in one design so seeing the recent release from Mikana on Shopee got me all giddy.

For only Php 200, anyone can pick a detachable charm which can easily be mixed and matched with other designs and necklaces. Instead of splurging on accessories that cost a fortune, this is a nice alternative for those who easily get bored of wearing the same pieces over and over again. The pendants are 18K gold-plated, which make them hypoallergenic and safe from easily tarnishing.

We checked out the designs and here are our top three picks, two of which are already with me:

KOSEN CHARM

This rectangular gold-plated charm reminds me of Cardcaptor Sakura Clow Cards which were a huge hit when I was a kid! The sun and moon engravings are filled with Cubic Zircon Crystals which make it very eye-catching when worn. This design looks good on v-neck type of tops when worn with a Mikana necklace for charms.

Both the necklace and the charm costs Php 999 but it will be up for grabs for only Php 200 while the shop is on SALE (80% off)!

GINGA CHARM

Similar to the Kosen Charm, Ginga is also gold-plated and adorned with Cubic Zircon Crystals. What sets it apart would be its shape – a crescent moon beside a sun which has rays on the right side. This can be used together with the Kosen Charm if you want multiple charms on one necklace or separately as #twinning pieces with your sister or BFF. This design would look good with tube or off-shouldered tops!

Both the necklace and the charm costs Php 999 but it’s currently offered at 80% OFF or Php 200. Other designs, such as a heart and a butterfly, are also available on their page.

BIRTHSTONE NECKLACE

(Photo from Mikana’s Shopee page)

People buy birthstones for different reasons. For some, it’s considered lucky, while others are just drawn to its pretty colors. While birthstones usually cost a fortune, Mikana gives buyers a chance to own one at a really affordable price. From its original price of Php 1,299, these are now at Php 299 (77% off) during the Mikana Brand Spotlight on Friday (January 21, 2021). Steal price! While we haven’t personally tried testing out the authenticity of the stones, customers at the Reviews tab seem happy with their purchase so we’re also tempted to get a Ruby for ourselves.

All charms include a free easy-to-attach clasp, while both charms and necklaces come in a jewelry box, a pouch, and pamphlet. There’s also a silica gel inside to keep the items in good condition. It looks presentable enough to be given as a gift, too! I’ve actually given Mikana accessories as gifts last Christmas so I’m happy to share this new discovery for 2022.

Happy shopping (but still spend wisely), everyone!
