Caring for ourselves shouldn’t only be limited to skin care. Self-care, looking after our mental health, and taking care of our physical well-being should also follow suit. This is one of the things that Luminisce Holistic Skin Innovations founder Dr. Kaycee Reyes-Bacani reiterates during consultations as Luminisce upholds the standard of beauty that it continues to redefine: To look well, you have to be well.
This mindset is one of the reasons why I have been a supporter of Luminisce since 2018 when I first met Doc Kaycee. Not only do they bring skin innovations here in the Philippines but they also strongly support overall wellbeing — not just the outside appearance. I do hope that more people would follow their advise and listen to what they have to say, especially now that Doc Kaycee and the Luminisce team are officially on YouTube to share advices and tips for FREE.
The first episode of Luminisce by Doc Kaycee featuring the Legaspi family – Pinoy celebrities Carmina, Zoren, Cassy, and Mavy — is set to be up on their YouTube Channel on Thursday (September 23, 2021) at 6 PM.
At Luminisce, the established belief is that it’s the patient’s individual beauty that makes them beautiful, and that they can experience and maximize this through wellness felt inside and out. Services aren’t recommended without Doc Kaycee and her expert team of dermatologists and aestheticians understanding the patient’s medical history, and treatments are always designed to be more than skin deep.
For their weekly YouTube videos, Doc Kaycee also aims to tackle all aspects of self-care — from physical wellbeing, mental health, relationships, and family life. This is not a common practice amongst dermatologists that I’ve encountered so it’s definitely a breath of fresh air to see and hear something new from an expert.
Aside from YouTube videos, Luminisce currently offers holistic wellness on wheels called “Sol Revive”. The first of its kind in Manila, Sol Revive is a mobile preventive medicine and skin clinic with the ultimate goal of promoting health and wellness and preventing disease even before it starts. Housed in a modern mobile facility, it provides easy access to a premium lineup of wellness treatments, therapies, and even life coaching/counseling at the hands of trained doctors and health practitioners.
The Sol Revive approach usually starts with a simple test pioneered in Germany, which allows doctors to identify certain markers pointing to underlying needs and issues. Another option is to do a standard interview and assessment of the patient’s medical history. Based on the findings, various treatment options are recommended, employing different technologies and techniques such as oral supplementation, lifestyle modification (i.e. diet changes), detoxification, drips, vaccines, and other therapies designed to balance any inadequacies in one’s health. Online consultations are also available to minimize the risk of outdoor exposure.
On the other hand, their branches in Alabang, Bonifacio Global City, and Mandaluyong remain to be open. I can’t wait to return to my monthly facial routine but for now, I’m set to binge-watch Doc Kaycee’s videos on YouTube!
For in-clinic consultations, you may set an appointment at any of the Luminisce Holistic Skin Innovations branches or contact (0977) 804 4601.
