True to its name, it seems that the new Huawei Nova 7i is going to be a real star and scene-stealer this season with its fashionable look and high-spec functions. Just one look at its design – the Sakura Pink color to be exact, and the quad-camera setup was enough to keep us hooked as the specs were explained during the product launch last Tuesday (March 10, 2020) via Huawei Philippines’ YouTube Channel.
As a millennial, here are some features that I think you’d also find useful in the Nova 7i – the latest addition to Huawei’s Nova series:
- Camera Features: Although the Nova 7i doesn’t have a Leica camera (unlike the P30 Pro), it still has 4 lenses that are good enough for ultra-wide angle, macro, and bokeh shots. It also has a built-in handheld Super Night Mode to help us take clear photos even under sparse lighting.
- AI Video Editor: An aspiring vlogger or filmmaker’s dream-come-true! Using this editor, you can already add background music, art, and even pop-up images in your video on the spot. It also has an AI Body Shaping function for those who want to alter certain parts of their body while taking a video.
- Fingerpint sensor at the SIDE of the phone: Fingerprint sensors at the back and on the screen of a phone were never really my thing, so I can already imagine how easy it would be to unlock our mobile from the sides. For the Nova 7i specifically, unlocking will only take 0.25 seconds from the moment that your finger touches the sensor.
- Fashion and gaming combined: Games are for women, too! This fashionable Nova 7i has a Kirin 810 with GPU Turbo 3.0 that is great for games like Arena of Valor, PUBG, or even Mobile Legends.

Nova 7i pre-orders (SRP Php13,990) at Lazada and Shopee only require a Php 500 deposit between March 12 to 18, 2020. Remaining amount should be settled from March 23 to 24.
