LIST: Natural, cruelty-free Australian creams that are available in the Philippines

Affordable, cruelty-free, organic, paraben-free, and FDA approved: Anyone who passionately cares about the things that go in their skin as well as its impact to the environment would probably love these words. Out of the vast selection of beauty products and creams available in the market today, you’d probably notice that not a lot contain organic ingredients; however, we recently discovered that G&M Cosmetics Pty Ltd. already brought their lightweight yet natural products under the Australian Creams range in the Philippines.

Australian Creams take pride in their premium-grade Australian active ingredients, which have properties that are benefitial to the skin. These used to only be available in Target and Coles in Australia and some Watsons branches in Asia, so it’s actually our first time to hear about these products. They all seem promising based on their ingredient restrictions so let us give you a gist of everything that we’ve learned so far:

LANOLIN OIL CREAMS

Main effect: Moisturizes and softens the skin

Recommended for: Dry, damaged skin

According to the product description, this cream promises to help minimize wrinkles by nourishing and protecting the skin. Lanolin is a natural emollient that has a lipid (oil) profile that is similar to sebum, which is found on our skin. The product provides moisture to the outer layer of the skin and acts as a natural protective mantel to prevents moisture loss. They also have a Night Cream, which has a richer concentration of active ingredients intended for a heavier, more prolonged absorption into the skin overnight.

EMU OIL CREAMS

Main effect: Hydrates, rejuvenates the skin

Recommended for: Sensitive, irritated skin

Emu oil is said to help skin rejuvenation, relieving skin irritation while also soothing muscle and joint pain. This type of oil has been used by Aborigines for treatment of burns, wounds, and bruises! Emu oil has powerful antioxidant properties and G&M ensures that what they use is pharmaceutical grade.

ARGAN OIL AND AVOCADO OIL CREAMS

Main effect: Softens, rejuvenates damaged skin

Recommended for: Stressed, irritated skin

Both argan and avocado oils are rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and amino acids which help soften and rejuvenate damaged skin. These essential oils in body moisturizers provide a calming effect to soothe the skin and help the user to relax. It’s also free from petrochemicals, parabens, phtalates, sulphates, formaldehydes, MEA/DEA/TEA, colors, and synthetic fragrances.

GOAT’S MILK AND MANUKA HONEY CREAMS

Main effect: Nourishes, softens the skin

Recommended for: Combination or oily skin

Along with its anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidant qualities, these creams promise to nourish the skin with all its needed vitamins. It has infusions of milk proteins, vitamins A, B12, B6E, amino acids, and natural lactic acid, which may contribute in regulating the pH levels of the skin. This, in turn, is said to stimulate healthy skin renewal.

KAKADU PLUM CREAM

Main effect: Reduces hyperpigmentation, makes skin firm and radiant

Recommended for: Dull, tired skin

Kakadu Plum, which originates from Australia, is the world’s richest natural source of Vitamin C (containing 70x more than oranges). Turned into cream, Kakadu Plum promises to aid in collagen synthesis, skin firming, reduce hyperpigmentation, enhance radiance fo the skin, and even lighten skin tone.

VITAMIN E SKIN REPAIR CREAM

Main effect: Repairs, soothes the skin

Recommended for: Dry, damaged skin

If you have dark spots, age spots, and stretch marks, this Repair Cream may also be fit for you. Due to its antioxidant properties, Vitamin E is vital in protecting skin cells from ultraviolet light, pollution, and other elements that produce cell-damaging free radicals. Daily application may help bring back the skin’s youthful glow.

OTHERS (100% ORGANIC)

PAPAYA OINTMENT

Main effect: Restores, soothes, protects skin

Recommended for: Dry, cracked, damaged, or irritated skin and lips

Organically-grown Papaya (or Paw Paw) in Queensland, Australia are used to ensure that every ointment is packed with high levels of Vitamin C and enzymes such as Papain, which helps clear dry and damaged skin and stimulate skin renewal. It also has properties which help heal cuts and burns, soothe insect bites, and relieve sensitive skin. It also promises to aid nappy rashes, cracked nipples, and relief cradle caps for moms.

COCONUT + ARGAN OIL SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER

Main effect: Nourishment and hydration for the hair

Recommended for: All hair types

For those who want to ensure that their locks remain smooth, soft, and glossy, Coconut and Argan Oils may be a good combination. This shampoo-and-conditioner bundle promises a moisture boost since they’re enriched with Vitamin B5, amino acids, wheat protein, and Vitamin E. It doesn’t smell super fragrant, though! Coconut Tree products do not use synthetic color and fragrance.

The Australian Cream range are already available in all Robinson’s branches nationwide, and online via Lazada and Shopee. Price ranges from Php200-500.
