When the travel bug bites, we know it’s hard to stop ourselves from booking the next flight with a seat sale to our dream destination. Sometimes, we get bitten even before we set our sights on a specific place to visit, too! To help with decision making for 2020, travel activities and services booking platform Klook revealed the top 10 travel destinations that are popular with Filipinos on their app.

Based on Klook’s internal booking data, Asian countries still top the list this 2020, similar to the 2019 outcome. However, Filipino travelers now also have countries like France and Australia on their sights this year!

Here’s a quick rundown of the results:

1.Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

2. Siem Reap, Cambodia

3. Hanoi & Halong Bay, Vietnam

4. Pattaya, Thailand

5. Shanghai, Mainland China

Note, however, that as of this posting, there are areas in China that are currently on lockdown/quarantine due to the Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak. Best to reconsider if you’re flying to China anytime soon.

7. Kyoto, Japan

8. Dubai, Middle East

9. Sydney, Australia

10. Gyeonggi-do, South Korea

According to Klook, travelers around the globe also included the Philippines as part of their list of destinations to visit in 2020. Visitors from Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, United States, and United Kingdom are interested in travelling to the Philippines, particularly for its beaches in Boracay and Palawan. These two places are worth seeing as well, just in case you haven’t traveled locally that much yet!

When the travel bug bites, it’s hard to say no BUT always remember that if you’re not feeling well or if the country that you want to visit is facing some sort of crisis that can affect your health and/or safety, please keep yourself safe first and reconsider plans to a later date!
