No tricks, just treats: Tim Hortons’ Mummy Éclair vs our own Mummy Éclair design

Our fighting spirit is at an all-time high this October! Manila Millennial was recently challenged by Tim Hortons – Canada’s popular restaurant chain — to create our own version of their newest spook-tacularly sweet Mummy Éclair Donut after trying it out. Our thoughts about this ghoulishly delightful Halloween treat can be found below, but for now, let the match begin by watching this video:

Overall, Tim Hortons’ simple mummy design is appropriate for the eclair. The maple fondant is quite sweet so it’s a must to spread it evenly – unlike mine which had lots of fondant in random places! It’s priced at P65, not bad for those who just want to munch on something sweet yet satisfying for dessert or merienda.

This new Halloween treat is only available at Tim Hortons branches from October 1-31, 2019. To further satisfy your sweet tooth cravings, we recommend that you try their Caramel Hazelnut Non-Coffee Iced Capp, a menu regular that deserves more recognition in our opinion. It’s a frozen blended beverage with shots of cream, flavored with caramel and hazelnut syrup, topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce.

Should you want other choices, you can also check out Tim Hortons’ premium coffee, freshly baked goods, sandwiches (I recommend their Tuna Cheese Melt) and wraps!

Soooo… what can you say about our creation? Is it something you’d eat or not? LOL! For more updates about our latest food adventures, follow Manila Millennial on FacebookInstagram, or Twitter!
