After months of waiting, we’re finally seeing trailers that use more clips from the actual upcoming not-so-hero movie, Deadpool 2! Ryan Reynolds is back after breaking box office records with bigger and more badass scenes featuring the only superhumans that are currently acceptable to be crass on the big screen.
The final trailer has officially been released last Thursday (April 19, 2018) and we’re so stoked to see the full movie! But before that, let’s look back at all the sneak peeks that 20th Century Fox has provided over the past few months, together with more details about the upcoming movie:
David Leitch, director of John Wick and Atomic Blonde, is at the helm to bring more stunts, more style and more action. Deadpool debuted in February 2016 with the biggest R-rated opening of all time and went on to be the highest-grossing R-rated film in history with more than $750-million globally. It was also honored as the first live-action superhero movie to be nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Picture in the Comedy or Musical category, and Ryan Reynolds was also nominated as Best Actor.
Along with the returning and new cast in Deadpool 2, Academy Award-nominated actor Josh Brolin also stars as the time-traveling Cable, a warrior infected with the techno-organic virus that renders him cybernetic and the most highly-anticipated screen personas in recent history.
They are joined by Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, the love of Wade Wilson’s life; T.J. Miller as Deadpool’s confidante, Weasel; Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead; Leslie Uggams as Blind Al; likewise, Andre Tricoteux returns with Colossus’ body performance. Rounding up the cast of Deadpool 2 are Zazie Beetz as Domino, Julian Dennison as Russell/Firefist, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Eddie Marsan as the Headmaster, Jack Kesy as Black Tom Cassidy, Terry Crews, Lewis Tan, Bill Skarsgard, and Rob Delaney.
From 20th Century Fox, Deadpool 2 opens on May 16, 2018 (Philippines release date) and will have advance screenings on May 15, starting 5:00 pm so make sure to check theatres near you! Deadpool 2 will also hit IMAX screens nationwide.
