Titas of Manila, rejoice! Instagram now lets you zoom in photos

Tell all your hip titas and cool moms: Instagram now lets you zoom in photos for a super duper closer look!

I couldn’t count how many times my mom tried to zoom in a photo or feed that I’ve been babbling about; good thing Instagram came to the rescue and finally #blessed our mobile feeds with a new app update. You can now confidently post group photos or wide shots and still be able to identify who’s standing where.

Just in case you need a closer look at someone's face. Tee-hee!

Here’s the talk of the town: The announcement was posted on Instagram’s account just a few minutes before midnight of August 31, 2016. Zoom was initially made available on iOS and “will be available on Android in the coming weeks”. However, it’s working perfectly fine on my Android phone so you better check yours now!

“Starting today, you can pinch to zoom on photos and videos in feed, on profiles and on Explore. Dive into an adorable puppy’s smile or into every detail of your friend’s new shirt,” wrote the team on their Instagram page. “Over the past six months, you’ve seen many exciting changes come to Instagram, from a new icon to longer videos and even a new way to share everyday moments with Instagram Stories. And as things change, we’re still focused on improving the core parts of Instagram.”

If ever you’re using the web version of Instagram, that’s a quick Ctrl + combination for extreme zoom-ins via desktop or laptop. If you’re using the web version on your mobile… switch to the app! What are you even doing there?

What a time to be alive, right? Everyone can now see even the slightest bad spots in your flat lay. LOL. Kidding!
