Love, Bonito goes beyond RTW, introduces ‘ready-to-live’ apparel for women

Love, Bonito — a leading Southeast Asian womenswear brand, is ushering in a new era of fashion with its fresh brand identity and revamped assortment strategy. This exciting change reflects the brand’s dedication to empowering modern women and challenging stereotypes surrounding Asian femininity. With a diverse lineup of Asian and Asian-American women leading the charge, Love, Bonito is on a mission to redefine what it means to be an Asian woman of every age group in today’s world.

Ready-to-live, not just ready-to-wear

The brand has already been successful in creating apparel that resonates with women, however, they’re expanding their collection to target an even broader demographic with different kinds of lifestyles. By leveraging over a decade of customer data and cutting-edge technology, the brand has curated a focused assortment that caters to the diverse needs and preferences of its community. With three key lines – Signatures, Staples, and Capsule collections – Love, Bonito now offers versatile pieces for every occasion, while streamlining its product offerings to ensure quality and authenticity.

“This milestone represents a heartfelt tribute to our Asian women community,” says Rachel Lim, Co-founder of Love, Bonito. “Through our rebrand, we honor our rich Asian heritage and challenge stereotypes surrounding Asian women. This evolution extends to our apparel design, where we prioritize not only perfecting the Asian fit but also ensuring each piece is meticulously crafted for functionality, confidence, and versatility. From school drop-offs to the boardroom and date nights, our designs empower women to embrace every aspect of their lives with style and grace.”

I personally love the “ready-to-live” idea, especially since I usually find myself buying RTW clothes online, only to find out that they do not feel as comfy as they look on photographs. There are instances wherein I turn down after-event parties just because my outfit isn’t as flexible as how I hoped they’d be! This is a dilemma that I never had to face when wearing Love, Bonito, though.

Signature style for every woman

At the heart of Love, Bonito’s new collection is the Signature line, offering sophisticated modern looks designed for effortless transitions from day to night. Crafted from crease-ease fabrics and flattering colors, the Signature pieces are a testament to the brand’s dedication to timeless elegance and functionality. From work to weekend and everything in between, Love, Bonito’s Signature collection empowers women to embrace their individuality with confidence and style.

Price ranges from Php 1,459 to Php 4,190.

Staples for your wardrobe

In addition to the Signature line, Love, Bonito is set to launch Staples – versatile wardrobe essentials at entry price points – from April onwards. You can also expect capsule collections from time to time, inspired by Asian culture, heritage, and key festive celebrations. Whether it’s timeless classics or modern interpretations of traditional styles, Love, Bonito’s collections provide something for every woman, every season. With new drops every month, the brand ensures that we always have something fresh and exciting to add to our wardrobes.

Full-on representation and diversity

Beyond the brand’s dedication to designing clothes for the real lives of women, it also strives to represent the Asian women community with raw, impactful women stories. There’s Korean American actress and singer Arden Cho in the Ling Belted Tailored Vest paired with the Yuna Tailored High Rise Pants — pieces constructed for a huge confidence boost and bloat-friendly silhouette. Arden fiercely advocates for Asian women representation in Hollywood while being her true authentic self.

Another way to style Yuna is with the Rachel Ruched-ready Blazer and Ivy Satin Button Down Shirt. Taking a candid mirror selfie, Malaysian singer Yuna is definitely no stranger to those who love great music. Whether she’s creating the next big hit in the studio or spearheading Southeast-Asian women representation on the international stage, Yuna oozes confidence with her modest-friendly picks.

Lastly, the carefree Chanel Miller is completely at ease with herself in the Natalia Scoop Neck Fitted Top and luxurious Anh Pleated Straight Leg Pants. She may exude an effortless confidence now, but has come a long way in shedding her shame and courageously living a fulfilling life as a sexual assault survivor. The padded and body-hugging Natalia offers the best support through thick and thin, while Anh’s crease-ease plisse material and functional pockets will get you ready for all of life’s moments.

These are just examples of how women power through with their lives with the help of Love, Bonito. I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to do the same, too! Happy Women’s Month!
