Premium single island rum Don Papa Rum recently launched its limited-edition Secrets of Sugarlandia gift canister in the Philippines in hopes of raising awareness and support for key conservation efforts in Negros Occidental, also known as “Sugarlandia”. The visually stunning canister showcases the island’s lush flora and fauna, including its critically endangered species such as the Bleeding Heart Dove, Visayan Warty Pig, Visayan Spotted Deer, Visayan Tarictic Hornbill, and Rufous-Headed Hornbill.
A portion of the sales from the canister will be donated to support the conservation work of organizations such as the Talarak Foundation and the Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation. Talarak Foundation in Negros works to rescue, rehabilitate, and protect threatened local species that are endemic to the Philippines and those that are endangered globally. On the other hand, the Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation ensures the long-term conservation of marine and terrestrial environment in the country through education and poverty alleviation programs.
For those who want to know more details about their conservation efforts, the canister also features a QR code scan link that leads to more information about Don Papa’s initiatives to protect the island and its wildlife.
The Secrets of Sugarlandia canister contains the Don Papa Rum 7-year-old blend, which is celebrated for its long, rich-textured finish and delightful flavors of vanilla, honey, and fruit cake. The original Negros sugar cane also serves as the foundation of Don papa Rum’s long, rich-textured finish, making it proudly Pinoy!
This limited-edition design is already available in select local retailers nationwide.
