Are smartphones bound to be replaced by some other device soon? With the rise of high-tech wearables, there’s high chance that it will be, but maybe not in the immediate future. As we see smartwatches and even sunglasses become even “smarter” — audio, SMS, and camera features made available in such a small device, the future seems more fashion and tech-forward. Speaking of fashion, there’s a new local tech brand in town called “Fleek” that is set to deliver both fashion and tech at an affordable price here in the Philippines.
Fleek recently introduced their smart eyewear variants that go beyond style, ensures Bluetooth stability, provides quality audio, and rocks cool designs with hypoallergenic frames, to name a few. As of this September, there are two generations with audio features, but we were informed that another generation with camera capabilities may be made available soon.

FLEEK SMART EYEWEAR GEN 1
Price: Php 4,999 (introductory price)
Style: Pilot, Risky, and Cool. These three designs are all unisex so anyone can wear them. They also have flexible looks that would suit any type of face shape. The color, unfortunately, only comes in black (UV380 UV400 resistance) but that means you can pair it with almost any OOTD that you have.
Bluetooth Stability: Gen 1 is equipped with the latest Bluetooth 5.0 version, which allows the smart eyewear to stay connected to your device up to 10 meters. It also comes with a true wireless stereo (TWS) feature that enables better sound quality.
Hypoallergenic Frames: Metallic or plastic frames may cause skin allergies for those with sensitive skin, so Fleek upgraded theirs into acetate fiber frames that are hypoallergenic. These are IP67 water and sweat-resistant.

Interchangeable Design: Compared with Gen 1, Gen 2 has a magnetic mechanism which enables users to change frames from dark-colored ones to clear frames.
One-Touch Function: While Gen 1 has button controls, Gen 2 has touch control features – one tap to pause/play music, three taps to activate your phone’s voice assistant, and more.
New accessories for both generations will be offered in the Philippine market soon, such as pads for private listening and an anti-drop strap.
