With so many options in the market, picking the right lifestyle companion can be quite challenging. Gadgets look similar with one another, features sound the same, but the prices have a thousand-peso difference. Take the realme Watch S Pro and Huawei GT2 Pro smartwatches for example, both are premium-looking, both have the same size, both offer similar features, but there are differences in specifications that tend to go unnoticed. Since we’ve received queries on whether or not we recommend one over the other, here’s a quick look at the features along with my recommendation based on your lifestyle.
#OOTD-WORTHY
Let’s start with the easiest: Size and display. Both the realme Watch S Pro and Huawei Watch GT2 Pro come in a black color, but the latter specifically calls it “Night Black”. The GT2 Pro, however, has a gray-like accent surrounding the watch. The straps differ in texture – the Watch S Pro has a smooth finish with two debossed lines, while the GT2Pro has a small branding on the lower right side and a slightly rough finish that prevents it from slipping on the user’s wrist.
Both have the same size (exact measurements are included in the table below) and the display looks very similar, even though the materials differ. As far as I’m concerned about my #OOTD, it’s a tie for me as both colors are neutral and both straps are removable, which gives the user freedom to put on any preferred strap. The strap has to come from a third-party seller, though. Both brands do not have separate straps being sold locally.
For the watch face, both smartwatches are able to import any image from your gallery into your smartwatch, but the realme Watch S Pro has more built-in watch faces to choose from.
FOR THE SPORTY AND ADVENTUROUS
If you’re a sporty person who is fortunate enough to have access to complex equipment and facilities for different types of sports in the Philippines, then the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro is the smartwatch for you. It has over 100+ workout modes, including elliptical, snowboarding, skiing, rower, triathlon, and mountain hike, to name a few. Sports Modes are also customizable so users can get accurate details after each workout, which are then stored under the smartwatch’s Workout Records. It also comes with a digital trainer that voices out certain commands through the smartwatch!
The realme Watch S Pro, on the other hand, only has 15 sports modes at the moment, including swimming, basketball, cycling, yoga, and free training – which can be used for those not included in the sports modes. This is something to consider if you’ll only need the smartwatch for simple workouts, health tracking, and notifications.
Both smartwatches can accurately track your location through GPS tracking, though.
FOR THE HEALTH-CONSCIOUS
Both the realme Watch S Pro and Huawei Watch GT2 Pro contain important health features like 24-hour heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen monitoring, and sleep tracking. The only difference is the way that they’re displayed on both the app and smartwatch. I personally prefer the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro’s 24-hour graph but the realme Watch S Pro’s blood oxygen sensor works better. The realme Watch S Pro can provide results faster even as the wearer makes minimal movements during the scan.
If you just need the data, go for the realme Watch S Pro. If you need data as well as guidance on what to do with it, get the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro.
FOR A TIGHT BUDGET
In terms of affordability, realme is already well-known for offering the most sought-after features at an affordable price so it’s not surprising that the realme Watch S Pro reigns supreme in this part. Despite not having a microphone, speaker, and additional sports modes, it can still deliver the important features that most users are looking for at the price of Php 8,990, which was further brought down to Php 7,690 as an introductory price.
The Huawei Watch GT2 Pro, on the other hand, costs Php 10,799. Not bad to add a few thousands, considering that you can get speaker and microphone functions on your smartwatch.
Both have a 2-week battery life, both come with a wireless USB Type-C charger, both have the same size and color, and both have similar functions. Deciding which one to get would highly depend on what the user needs and how much they’ll be willing to shell out for a smartwatch.

Waaah. 😍 Ang ganda po nilang pareho. Pareho kopo silang gusto. Dahil maganda ang specs ng huawei at realme. Hindi nag kakalayo ang specs nila. At pareho ding maganda ang quality nila. Kaya bet na bet ko talaga sila 😍 Sarap magkaroon ng ganito. 😍
I love the comparisons you made, very detailed. These two watches are almost the same but as you go further, there are slight differences. I think I prefer the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro, it is more lightweight and battery capacity is bigger. It has microphone and speaker too. Though it is a bit pricey than the realme Watch S Pro, it’s worth for its price.
