5 Videos to binge-watch this Valentine’s Day weekend

Happy Valentine’s Day weekend, everyone!

Now that sappy and overly romantic gestures are still everywhere (and even on social media), it’s hard to escape the Hearts Day vibe even if you’re just wrapped like a burrito at home. If you’re not in the mood to step outside today, but you still want to get some kilig fix, then we gotcha covered!

Even just through the small screens of your mobile phone or tablet or laptop, or whathaveyou, you can already watch some good videos like these 5 from YouTube, iflix, and iWant that we’ve picked with the help of our friends Smart. These are already good for one whole day of binge-watching so get your popcorns ready:

1.100 Tula Para Kay Stella (JC Santos and Bella Padilla)

Where to watch it: iflix

Why watch it: If you’re a fan of unconventional love story, this film is for you. The story revolves around Fidel, a stuttering student, who write poems to express his love to Stella. With lead stars JC Santos and Bela Padilla portraying the roles of Fidel and Stella, the audience can definitely feel all the ‘hugots’ of both characters.

2. Hello, Love, Goodbye (Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards)

Where to watch it: iWant

Why watch it: This film may not have both leads’ usual loveteam partners, but it’s one of the better surprises to come out of last year nonetheless. Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards are Joy and Ethan, two millennials who meet each other while trying to make it and survive in Hong Kong. The story of how they find comfort and love in each other in the exhausting city will strengthen your faith and belief in the power of love.

3. That Thing Called Tadhana (JM de Guzman and Angelica Panganiban)

Where to watch it: iWant

Why watch it: You might find yourself belting out Whitney Houston’s Where Do Broken Hearts Goand wanting to travel and enjoy the cold weather of Sagada after watching this movie. That Thing Called Tadhana gives all the right dose of ‘kilig’ and ‘hugots’ especially from the unexpected chemistry on screen of Angelica Panganiban and JM de Guzman. You can now watch this 2014 ‘hugot’ movie of the year for free in iWant.

4. Wilodia on YouTube (Wil Dasovich and Alodia Gosiengfiao)

Where to watch: YouTube

Why watch it: Well, first, I am a fan. Second, it’s quite rare for two non-showbiz vloggers to have an authentic off-cam relationship. Third, there’s just magical chemistry between the two of them! Of course, we’re talking about Wil Dasovich and Alodia Gosiengfiao, two of the most popular Filipino vloggers on YouTube, and also two wonderful people. Watch and be inspired by how they spend time together, be loving to one another, and generally be an open book about their relationship.

5. Ewan Heussaff’s Channel (Eerwan Heussaff and Anne Curtis)

Where to watch it: YouTube

Why watch it: Although Erwan Heussaff’s channel is largely about food, health, and fitness, he regularly features his wife, popular showbiz personality Anne Curtis, whether they’re going out on adventures all over or simply cooking her favorite food at home. Every video of them together is an image of two people who genuinely love each other and enjoy each other’s company. Our recent favorite would be the video where Erwan made souffle pancakes for Anne. Can I order one Erwan for myself, please?
