Back in the game: A new look for Girbaud’s 25 years in the Philippines

What used to be our parents’ go-to brand for bags and sleek outfits is now getting a brand new style for its 25th year! Staying as classy as its name, French clothing brand Marithé and François Girbaud has recently shared their plans to launch an up-to-date look and a new A-game in celebration of their silver anniversary in the Philippines.

We came to know this after seeing that their website was updated to a notice that says “Be right back. Innovation is on its way.”

Keeping in mind the hip and trendy street style of millennials and Gen Z-ers, the new modern vibe of Girbaud is said to be inspired by arts, music, and fashion that are still rooted in the brand’s denim-centric DNA.

Currently, the brand constructs state-of-the-art apparels through heat adhesion, laser blading and ultrasound. The use of laser light to achieve the worn-down appearance of jeans to create the perfect blend of cutting-edge designs and pro-environment products makes Marithé + François Girbaud an integral part of our wardrobe.

Cheers to 25 years!

Brand updates started rolling out this year in some of its stores in Metro Manila including SM Megamall, SM North EDSA and SM Manila. By 2020, all Girbaud stores in the Philippines will be refreshed with a cool and modern store design, too! It will feature collections for every season with very wearable pieces inspired by streetwear trends.

Girbaud has been in the Philippines for 25 years now and we would like to celebrate this milestone by introducing a new look,” says Obee Ham, Business Development Head for Retail Dynamics, Inc., the group behind the Manila revival of Girbaud. “The brand has always been known to be innovative and we made sure that it will be carried over to this exciting new phase.”

We’ll be checking out the stores soon to get ourselves a pair of those newly designed jeans! Check this page again for updates before December ends.
