Epson Philippines shared that they aim to build on new businesses, optimize their B2B operations and minimize dependence on their mainstream product segments. This was all revealed in a media thanksgiving party, Fusion 10, held last week in Boracay, Aklan.
Much like a millennial, Epson plans to break barriers and improve not just on their printer systems, but to create a whole world of products that focus on improving the way we see the world we have today. You can see this in their initiative with the Moverio Glasses series, their high brightness projectors, their optimized printers like their label printers, CAD, signage and textile printers.
We even got a taste of the efficiency of these products by Epson as they are included in the challenges given to us at the Fusion 10 Bootcamp.
All the while they also plan on improving their printer system, and their Replacable Ink Pack system is a start to that.
“For Epson to become an indispensable company, we have to continue to move outside of our comfort zone and into a more progressive mindset—with obsession to details still deeply embedded in our DNA,” said Eduardo Bonoan, General Manager for Marketing, Epson Philippines Corporation. “To add to our exceptional performance for inkjet printers and scanners, the FY18 performance for POS and dot matrix printers, visual instruments and commercial & industrial products tell us that this is the perfect opportunity to build the new foundation for Epson here in the Philippines.”
Bonoan also noted the changing mindset of customers brought about by technological advancements. With technology enabling more personalized and real-time experiences, customers expect more from businesses. Under the build initiative, Epson Philippines will focus more on Epson’s cutting-edge Replaceable Ink Pack System (RIPS), LIJ printers, scanners, label printers, mobile POS, CAD, signage and textile printers, as well as its high brightness projectors.
As it enters a new fiscal year, Epson Philippines sets out to penetrate niche markets while enhancing its operations to better address the requirements of the B2B segment.
