JaDine, Careless Music Manila and other artists to watch out for at Cinco de Mayhem Music Festival

Ever heard of Cinco de Mayo? It’s a celebration of the Mexican Army’s victory vs. the French Empire on May 5, 1862. However, over the years, it has evolved into a commemoration of Mexican culture and heritage – complete with mariachi music, parades, and Mexican food! While it’s not highly celebrated here in the Philippines as it is in the United States, premiere events producers ProMedia Productions thought of bringing a unique musical experience inspired by this occasion. So on May 4, 2019, watch out for the first-ever Cinco de Mayhem Music Festival with top local artists and DJs!

Cinco de Mayhem will be a vibrant and festive celebration of music, youthful spirit, community, and life at the Vista Mall Daang Hari Open Grounds this coming Cinco de Mayo weekend, May 4, 2019 (Saturday).

Who will be performing?

Hold on to your sombreros (and maracas, if you will) and marvel at this artistic revelry headlined by local performers James Reid and Nadine Lustre, along with the rest of the Careless Music Manila crew – Astrokidd, Massiah, Kingwaw, Curtismith, and Sofia Romualdez, together with rising and legendary musicians and DJs from Quest, Kiana Valenciano, Divine Smith, DJ Euric, Deuce, to Nix Damn P. To spice the lineup even further, the country’s first and only female MC Marga Bermudez joins the roster, along with a special surprise performer (no clues)!

What to expect?

The brainchild of actor/host turned musician Alexander Diaz, this event aims to mix the richness of Mexican culture and the unrelenting spirit highlighted in this widely-celebrated annual world event.

“I’ve always been passionate about good music and a good party and Cinco de Mayhem combines just that. Not only are we bringing the festivity of Cinco de Mayo in the Philippines, but we are elevating it by ushering in topnotch Filipino talent with our line-up of game-changing musicians,” shared Diaz, festival Creative Director.

“We are not just thrilled to share a lineup that is so fresh and diverse, we are excited to bring together an epic night that will surely be unforgettable—a first of many Cinco de Mayhems to come. With this caliber of local acts and this Mexican utopia we have set up for everyone to enjoy, we sure have an experience that will make this the perfect way to cap off your summer,” added Lahaina Mae Mondonedo, Director of Operations.
