It has been years since dog and cat cafes boomed in the Metro. By now, a lot of you may be expecting cramped spaces with furry pals who are already tired of playing with a new set of hoomans every single day. That may apply to select places, but not in this twin pet café in Quezon City that boasts of the finest Bengal breeds and big dogs that are named after the dire wolves from hit television series Game of Thrones.
We’re not going to dwell that much on the taste of their beverages and cakes, but we can assure you that it’s worth your money. Pastries from this café are from Purple Oven – one of our personal favorites when it comes to cakes! One free drink of your choice – iced/hot coffee, raspberry/ lemon iced tea, moringa tea, lemonade, caramel latte, café mocha, choco peppermint candycane, mocha cappuccino, café Bengal, or mixed berry – will be served a few minutes after you enter the adorable place. We took a photo of the menu for your reference:
For just P299, visitors of the café can already enjoy one with all the furry pals and automatically become a member. After the first visit, you can already enjoy P100 less in your payments as long as you present your membership card. So that’s P199 for one hour and P299 for two hours.
The one-year membership card entitles you to a P50 cash back on your third visit, P100 cash back on the 4th visit, a free pass during your birth month (with at least one paying guest), a free pass when you enlist two new members, and seasonal promos or discounts.
Bengal Brew is home to more than 30 jaguar-like cats and a huge Bengal cat that is almost as long as my arm. Don’t worry about getting scratched or bitten. These felines will respect your personal space as long as you respect theirs. They blend in well in the rustic-themed interiors which has trees, ledges, and a rocky fountain that they can climb onto anytime they want.
Wolf & Bear, on the other hand, is home to both huge doggos and small puppers of different breeds. They have a lot of Siberian Huskies that love hugs and cuddles from visitors. Ghost, Summer, and Lady are just some of our favorites from the pack! Two floors offer more than enough space for these friendly canines which include an Italian Greyhound, a Jack Russell, a Golden Retriever, Saint Bernards, and Shih Tzus.
They also have an Akita who is quite aloof with guests.
We were also lucky enough to catch a Shiba Inu in the café during our visit. Ayumu was so ecstatic to receive additional pats even from strangers.
Just a few tips for first-timers: Wear socks so you won’t need to buy before entering the café. Keep track of the time as well so you can spend enough time on both the dog and cat haven. One hour is actually enough for you to explore every nook and cranny of the café, but we suggest that you avail the two-hour package if you want more time to cuddle the puppers at the second floor of Wolf & Bear. They can sit on your lap for hours as you rest. Now, isn’t that adorable?
They also have occasional promos like their upcoming Valentine’s Day treat: Take your loved ones on a date with dogs and cats for only P999, inclusive of food and drinks for two persons, two membership cards with exclusive perks valid for one year, free pet portrait sessions, two hours stay at Bengal Brew Cat Cafe and Wolf & Bear Dog Café, and an exclusive souvenir. You can reserve a slot as early as now and make the most out of this promo which will be available for the whole month of February. Just make sure to contact them at any of the details below.
