With more and more teens and yuppies wanting to balance school or office work with entertainment and hobbies like eSports or mobile gaming, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) recently launched a gaming smartphone- the ASUS ROG Phone, taking the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) main stage by storm with much fanfare from hardcore fans last Sunday (October 28, 2018).

What got us hooked is its claim to have gaming at its core, powered by the world’s fastest speed-binned 2.96GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform and gaming-optimized Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU. It’s only 6 in size – fitting your hand perfectly, but its landscape design is made for those who play games on their mobile phone all the time in landscape mode. Users will be able to peacefully play while charging their phones without the hassle of cables going through their fingers. It’s also the only gaming smartphone that has a vapor-chamber cooling system, gaming accessories, and features that make it look like a legit console.

Here are a few things that you won’t find in any other phone: A GameCool vapor-chamber cooling system — with detachable AeroActive Cooler for an extra cooling boost — which sustains blur-free high frame rates in the heat of battle; side-mounted ports, and ultra-responsive game controls which include the programmable ultrasonic AirTriggers and advanced force-feedback haptics. But of course, as early as now, let us warn you that gaming is the ROG Phone’s main purpose. Although these features are overwhelming, ROG didn’t put a lot of add-ons when it comes to the phone’s camera features.

Pre-order started last October 28 and will run until November 8, 2018 at all ASUS, ROG, and ZenFone Concept Stores and Kiosks nationwide. The ROG Phone Accessories will only be available at ROG Concept Stores: Capitol of the Republic (ROG SM Megamall), North District of the Republic (ROG SM North EDSA), South District of the Republic (ROG SM Mall of Asia), and Visayas District of the Republic (ROG SM City Cebu). Each order of the ROG Phone comes with an ROG Phone Jacket, an ROG Phone hardcase, and the ROG Phone AeroActive Cooler as hard-bundles.

The complete accessory bundle valued at PHP 58,470 will be available as a PHP 40,995 add-on to the base package of the ROG Phone.
