Out with fast fashion, in with transeasonal looks from Love, Bonito

As a fashion-loving girly, I’ve always been in love with trendy pieces of clothing that I usually see online or on the runway. However, as I grew older, I found myself asking “Can I wear this on a daily basis?” more often, prompting me to switch to more sustainable finds that I can wear or mix and match for a longer period of time. After all, I can’t wear a cropped top or extravagant dresses to formal office events!

Catering to our versatile needs, Love, Bonito recently launched new transeasonal outfits under its Signatures and Staples line, with smart pieces suited for chilly air-conditioned spaces or cooler holiday destinations away from the equator. Best part? You can just remove the layers once you step out in the sun. No need for drastic outfit changes in between. Love, Bonito describes it as “multiway designs”, which means it can be worn in different ways across different seasons, especially since majority are in neutral tones. On top of these, they also launched the RuchedReadyTM and LeggyTM, representing sleeves that stay up and instant leg-lengthening pants. Only Love, Bonito has this kind of style so far, by the way.

Here are some style suggestions to get you started:

SUNSET HUES

Since Ber months are upon us, that means more chilly holiday trips and cold cozy nights. Instead of having that one outer jacket on repeat, opt for a variety of blazers, tops and bottoms in earth-toned hues. Must-haves statement pieces include the newly released RuchedReady™  Aera Slim Blazer, designed with the iconic ruch-able sleeves and in a slimmer cut for a sleek fit. The crease-ease travel favorites also include the white matching Yuna Relaxed V-neck Vest and Leggy™ Yuna Super High Waist Tailored Pants. If you’re not doing any year-end travels, these neutral pieces can also double up as work-appropriate styles that keep you looking chic and professional.

LAYERED LUXURY

From stretch flannel, cosy knits to fall tweed, these materials are light enough for layering during cold nights, yet casual enough for daily wear in our tropical climate. Cue this season’s head turners with the Kaori Detachable Collar Tweed Jacket, Kaori Tweed Crop Shell Top, and Zanna Elastic Tweed Mini Skirt. This matching set stars the fall textured tweed, which is meticulously woven, creating a beautiful blend of shine.

If you’re looking for your suitcase and travel MVP, Love, Bonito’s knits are your best bet. These items are crease-ease, layerable and some come in matching sets. A select few includes cashmere blends too for added warmth. One of which is the Esha Knit Crop Shell Top that is made of full Milano Knit, offering a structured yet soft feel. This can be complemented with the Kiara Crop Shoulder Padded Knit Cardigan which has the look of a classic tweed jacket but one that is soft and subtle, a perfect in-between of a cardigan and a jacket!

For a simpler look, opt for the machine washable thick ponte fabric in the Iya Boxy Crop Blazer and Leggy™ Mentari Super High Waist Straight Leg Pants. Wear an inner shirt like the Kendra Contour Knit Camisole Top, which is constructed in 3D Knit to mold to the curves of your body, and you’re good to go!

Love, Bonito’s newest Signatures collection launches on September 16 and 23, on its website, and September 23 at Love, Bonito Greenbelt 3 store. For more information, follow @lovebonitoph.
