When people say July, there are two things that immediately come to mind — first is my birthday and second is that it’s health/nutrition month. Who can forget the annual bulletin board campaigns and jingle-making contests back when we were still in High School / Grade School!? Anyway, now that we’re adults, such annual celebrations are already being celebrated in a different way — such as launches of new technology that can help us meet our #goals.
These upcoming tech include the realme Watch 2, which we’re currently testing out, the realme Watch 2 Pro, realme Bluetooth Speaker, realme Buds Wireless 2 Neo, and the realme Night Light. The launch of these new AIoT devices is part of realme’s campaign to encourage everyone to stay on track with their fitness and wellness goals with the help of the brand’s quality and affordable tech devices. I’ve mentioned this a lot in my previous blogs but the reason why we almost always share the word about realme is because of its affordable price range for Filipinos. Despite the lower cost, the quality remains good.
To keep you excited, here’s a peek at what we know about these devices:\
realme Watch 2
Although it looks similar to its predecessor, the realme Watch, realme Watch 2 has a couple of upgrades such as a better watch strap, 90 kinds of sports modes, and comprehensive range of health functions such as step monitoring, sleep monitoring, hydration reminders, and meditation relaxing, among others. This boasts of a massive battery life which is said to last up to 12 days (I’m currently on my 2nd day of use) with a 315mAh battery. Comes with essential features like 24/7 heart rate monitor and blood oxygen monitor, too!
realme Watch 2 Pro
Compared with the Watch 2, which is like an everyday lifestyle companion, this variant is more like a professional sports and fitness partner. It features a 1.75″ Ultra Large Display with 320 x 385 pixels and 600 nits for rich visuals even underneath direct sunlight. In terms of functionality, this features a blood oxygen and 24/7 heart rate monitor, 90 kinds of sports modes, a High-precision Dual Satellite GPS, and battery life good for up to 14 days. Bigger size, longer battery life, higher refresh rate, and improved reactiveness!
realme Night Light
I was lucky enough to get my hands on this item in advance as well, so I’ll be uploading a quick setup video on my YouTube Channel soon. For now, here are key features that I loved about it: It has an infrared motion sensor that can detect your body movements (up to 120-degree horizontal wide angel motion detection) even in the dark. The donut-looking night light turns off automatically after 15 seconds – just enough to guide your eyes in the dark.
Other AIoT Devices
As for the other devices like the Buds Wireless 2 Neo and Bluetooth Speaker, we’ll have to wait for more information about these soon. realme Philippines will be officially launching everything that I’ve mentioned via their Facebook page on Tuesday (July 6, 2021), so mark your calendars!
These new AIoT Products are impressive additions to the brand’s TechLife ecosystem that aims to make every young Filipino live convenientyly and efficiently with its powerful mix of audio, wearables, smart TVs, smart home devices, and smartphones. I’m excited to see what realme has in store for us in the next few months!
