Having sensitive skin can be very challenging – the slightest change in our routine or even in our environment can trigger our skin to be very dull, red, patchy, or even prone to acne. As someone who grew up with eczema, I’ve been very careful in choosing skincare products to try. However, I still go back to derma-recommended brands like Cetaphil that have a wide range of products that take the needs of sensitive skin into consideration. Just recently, Cetaphil also launched new products under the Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance line in hopes of addressing dullness and uneven skin tone or melanogenesis.

I’ve been using the full line for two weeks now and I’m happy to share that this is indeed a holy grail for people with sensitive skin. All six products work together to deliver a healthier glow from head to toe! Plus, even though I’ve been using it for a while now, it hasn’t triggered my eczema – proving how gentle each product is on the skin. All products feature Cetaphil’s GentleBright Technology – a fragrance-free hypoallergenic formula that has been tested under dermatological control to be gentle on even the most sensitive skin, and a blend of Niacinamide and Sea Daffodil which helps correct dark spots and brighten skin tone. All products are hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and clinically-tested.

Here’s a look at the products that have definitely brightened my days, in order of how I use them:

BRIGHTENING REVEAL BODY WASH

I start my Cetaphil Bright Health Radiance routine with their body wash, which gently cleanses the skin without drying it. It doesn’t have a strong scent and it leaves my skin feeling soft, supple, and refreshed after every bath. This is my go-to body wash for days when I need to use a scrub; however, I opt for the bar soap on other days.

BRIGHTNESS REVEAL BAR

The Brightness Reveal Bar, which looks like an ordinary bar of soap, has an extraordinary formula just like the body wash. It also washes away dirt and impurities to leave the skin feeling fresh, soft, and smooth while helping bring out a healthier radiant glow.

BRIGHTENING LOTION

After taking a bath, I seal in all the moisture with the Bright Healthy Radiance Brightening Lotion which is said to help reduce the appearance of dark spots within 4 weeks while helping the skin become smoother, softer, and hydrated. A few more weeks to go but as early as now, I’m loving how gentle it is on my skin! It also doesn’t leave a strong scent so those with allergies can use them with no worries.

BRIGHTNESS REFRESH TONER

I always use a toner after drying up from bath! In this case, a few drops of the Brightness Refresh Toner on a cotton pad is enough to cover my whole face. Unlike other toners I’ve used, this one does not leave a sticky feeling during and after application, making it comfortable to use every day. It has a refreshing after-feel that effectively makes my face look less-stressed than it is.

BRIGHTENING PROTECTION CREAM

Even while I’m at home, my dermatologist reminds me of the importance of using products with at least SPF15 to keep my skin protected from sun damage. Cetaphil’s Bright Healthy Radiance line also addresses this through their Brightening Day Protection Cream with SPF15. Using it in the morning does not leave my skin feeling sticky throughout the day since it’s very lightweight.

BRIGHTENING NIGHT COMFORT CREAM

At night, I always remember to put on the Brightening Night Comfort Cream to ensure that my skin looks youthful in the morning. This skin-cushioning cream provides hydration while helping even out our skin tone. Expect a brighter skin in the morning as this cream does the job of locking in moisture and replenishing skin barriers overnight!

COMING SOON: BRIGHTNESS REVEAL CREAMY CLEANSER

Although I haven’t tried it yet, the Brightness Reveal Creamy Cleanser also looks promising! It’s a hypoallergenic non-drying cleanser that removes impurities to reveal radiant and luminous skin.

I wasn’t able to take a photo of my skin prior to my use of this new line but you can take my word for it that I had really patchy-flaky skin on my body two weeks ago. I paired the entire line with creams for my eczema, though! Remember that for extreme skin conditions, it’s always best to consult your dermatologist. Mine recommends Cetaphil paired with medicated creams!
